DJ is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 15 years of experience collaborating with individuals, families, communities, and organizations to navigate and address complex issues related to race, class, culture, sexuality, gender, and ethnicity within a rapidly evolving world.

He is an IAMFT Executive Board member and a member of the NEIU Counselor Education Advisory Board. DJ provides individual, couples, family, & group therapy, as well as professional training and consulting.

He specializes in using narratives to foster healing and growth through meaning-making and social justice. DJ integrates techniques from multiple therapeutic theories to identify skills, build upon strengths, and reduce negative symptoms. DJ helps couples, families, individuals, and organizations create a positive vision for the future in an ever-changing world by blending humor, knowledge, passion, and compassion.
